We sailed on the Crystal Serenity from San Francisco to Vancouver Canada last June with our family of six. The boat and its appointments are luxurious and beautiful. Not sure I can ever return to another cruise ship without a bathtub and luxury linens! However, our kids/teens were not so impressed. Dining and entertainment options were quite limited on the smaller vessel, and pool hours also limited. The kids ended up eating a lot of room service since there weren't enough buffet options/times and they didn't want the restaurant experience every night. My son asks to go back on the Norwegian Star, which felt super budget compared to this but was more up his alley. I would recommend the Crystal line for adult trips and not spend the money to bring your children/teens along.
